Dresden 20.06.2016: The seminars offered by Dr. Helge Hanitzsch in hygiene education and training received in addition to the EURAS-Cert certification now also the seals 17 (Hygiene Commissioner in radiology) and 18 (Hygiene Commissioner in practice) of the Association of Hygiene Professionals in the Federal Republic of Germany E.V (VHD).

Accordingly, the training is (VHD) accredited by the Association of Hygiene Professionals in the Federal Republic of Germany e.V. under the seal numbers 017 and 018/2016.

2. Despite modern technology, hygiene in health care is an essential factor

Hygiene in the treatment of patients makes high demands on the staff. Of course, the observance of hygiene rules is not only mandatory, but financially very useful because of the re-treatment of patients is more expensive than the investment in state of the art hygiene. Although many health establishments today usually allowed to work for profit, human being in all economic considerations shall not be neglected.

3. Relocation of treatments from the hospital to outpatient clinics

A general trend of outpatient treatment in hospitals is recorded towards group practices and outpatient clinics. Thus legislation gives the outpatient treatment a priority over inpatient treatment according to §39 Lit. 1 sentence 2 SGB V, which for cost reduction reasons according to BSG Urt.v.15.03.1995-6RKa 23/94-NZS 1996.90 deemed admissible. Thus, deliberately ensured that ambulatory health care by physicians in private practice in clinics, group practices, or so-called. MVZs short “MVZ” is rendered.

These enterprises need for their activities and for quality assurance certified as well as appropriate hygiene concepts, which also need to be implemented.

Medical practices are today modern “firms”, which should put great importance on hygiene, since multiresistant organisms do not stop at the hospital door. For this reason, it makes sense to the recommendations as of the:

and in practice, a hygiene officer, hereinafter also referred to as “HB”, who shall support the management and/or the practice owner to implement, enforce and control  the hygiene regime. These HB need respective education for their activities, which shall be performed in accordance with the guidelines of the VHD.
